Dominik Ulmer

Dominik Ulmer is the owner of the Swiss company DUSC GmbH, offering consulting services in the field of HPC and supercomputing. Until March 2020, he was Sr Director HPC&AI Technical Sales EMEA at HPE. Prior to that, Dominik was Vice-President Business Operations EMEA at CRAY and General Manager of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre CSCS. He has held leadership positions in IT management in industry and public sector in Germany and Switzerland. In his early career, he worked as a research scientist, focussing on modelling sedimentation processes and geological basin formation. He has also served as an expert evaluator and reviewer for HPC research project proposals submitted to the FP7 R&D funding programme of the European Commission. Dominik holds a graduate degree in geology from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
