naginterfaces.library.blas.dmload(matrix, m, n, con, diag)

dmload forms the real $m\times n$ rectangular or trapezoidal matrix $A$ given by

$$\begin{array}{c}{a}_{ij}=\{\begin{array}{cc}diag& \text{if}i=j\\ const& \text{if}i\ne j\end{array}\text{.}\end{array}$$

Parameters

matrixstr, length 1

The matrix type.

$matrix=\text{'G'}$

General matrix.

$matrix=\text{'U'}$

Upper trapezoidal matrix (upper triangular if $m=n$).

$matrix=\text{'L'}$

Lower trapezoidal matrix (lower triangular if $m=n$).

mint

$m$, the number of rows of the matrix $A$.

nint

$n$, the number of columns of the matrix $A$.

confloat

The value to be assigned to the off-diagonal elements of $A$.

diagfloat

The value to be assigned to the diagonal elements of $A$.

Returns

afloat, ndarray, shape $(m,n)$

The $m\times n$ general or trapezoidal matrix $A$.

Raises

NagValueError

(errno $1$)

On entry, error in parameter $matrix$.

Constraint: $matrix=\text{'G'}$, $\text{'U'}$ or $\text{'L'}$.

(errno $2$)

On entry, error in parameter $m$.

Constraint: $m\ge 0$.

(errno $3$)

On entry, error in parameter $n$.

Constraint: $n\ge 0$.

No equivalent traditional C interface for this routine exists in the NAG Library.
