Innovation Analyst (Remote)

Working as part of the Innovation Team we are looking for an Innovation Analyst, a role that combines elements of market analysis, business analysis and technology analysis. As this is a new department within our organisation the successful applicant will have the proven ability and experience to work independently within this role.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Help drive the effort to both generate and gather business ideas to fill the innovation pipeline.

  • Work directly with the Innovation Director to identify, research, evaluate & test ideas; resulting in the planning of minimum viable products (MVP’s).
  • Network with internal stakeholders (including sales teams), external partners, vendors, investors & academic colleagues to understand trends and opportunities.
  • The role requires a strong understanding of how new businesses are built, from problem discovery to market analysis to concept and product validation and to financial and business model building.

  • Be business focused but also have an understanding of technology.
  • Have a broad range of experience from analysing markets and market trends to analysing business processes and tasks to technology and IP discovery and will play a major role in driving the innovation process.

  • Be skilled at connecting to, collaborating with and discovering knowledge from internal and external sources
  • Be organised and structured in approach, to align with a data driven operation
  • Be agile, flexible and comfortable in a start-up like culture
  • Have a strong ability to understand how business ideas may be suitable from a high-level strategic perspective right down to the lower-level technical perspective.
  • Have a bachelors degree
