Data were received on linear systems from Thomson, Math-Tech (DHI) and IBM (Piaggio). These applications utilize the solution of large, sparse linear systems using iterative techniques. In most cases the indications are that the algorithms utilized are suitable for the applications, but in one case the stopping criterion was found to be in appropriate and a revised stopping criterion suggested.
