This activity keeps the consortium in touch with developments in parallel computing which may influence the project, particularly algorithm design and the implementation of numerical software. The final report will summarize the developments in languages and architectures and their influence on numerical library software.
The project monitored the development of standards such as of MPI-2, HPF-2, and BSP. An interim end-of-year report was prepared.
