2013 NAG Student Prize Winners Announced

NAG awards high achievers from two MSc courses at the University of Manchester each year and the latest winners were given their prizes at the Manchester SIAM Student Chapter conference recently. Craig Lucas, Senior Technical Consultant based at NAG Manchester was delighted to award Henry Tregido who won the NAG Prize for Numerical Analysis and Tianren Bu who won the NAG Prize for Mathematical Finance. Congratulations to them for their outstanding achievements. We wish them both (and all student readers of NAGnews) many future successes.

NAG Student ‘Direct Award’ Prize Spring 2013

We are delighted to announce the winner of the first NAG Student Prize ‘Direct Award’ of 2013, Isabel Ehrlich for her thesis ‘Pricing Basket Options with Smile’. Isabel is studying Mathematics and Finance at Imperial College London in the Department of Mathematics. Isabel’s prize was a pass to the Global Derivatives conference and travel costs.

2012 winners are Randall Errol Martyr for his MSc in Mathematical Finance and Robert Andrew for his MSc in Mathematics & Computational Science. Both students were chosen for their outstanding results and achievements on their chosen courses
