NAG Toolbox: nag_machine_real_smallest (x02ak)

Purpose

nag_machine_real_smallest (x02ak) returns the smallest positive floating point number.

Syntax

[result] = x02ak
[result] = nag_machine_real_smallest

Description

nag_machine_real_smallest (x02ak) returns the smallest positive number in the model of floating point arithmetic described in the X02 Chapter Introduction. The returned value is equal to bemin1 b emin-1 , where bb is the arithmetic base (see nag_machine_model_base (x02bh)) and eminemin is the minimum exponent (see nag_machine_model_minexp (x02bk)) in the model.
