If you are a faculty, staff member, or student at an educational institution in the State of Ohio, you have a wealth of sophisticated software freely available* to you as a result of a partnership between the Ohio Supercomputer Center and the Numerical Algorithms Group. Read on to learn what is available, how to download a copy and where to get a license key for extended use.
NAG libraries - sophisticated numerical routines you can call from your C/C++, Fortran, Java, .NET application, or Excel spreadsheet. The functions provided include optimization, advanced statistics, equation solvers, random number generators, curve and surface fitting and a host of other useful functions.
NAGWare f95 Compiler - The NAGWare f95 Compiler is a full Fortran 95 compiler for a range of Unix platforms as well as Linux. Derived from the NAGWare f90 Compiler, the world's first Fortran 90 compiler, f95 provides robust, well tested, widely ported compiler capabilities for the Fortran 95 language. The f95 Compiler accepts fixed or free format Fortran 95 input and many common Fortran 77 extensions are allowed. HPF code is also compiled and checked though only single processor output is generated. Several new features of Fortran 2000 have been added as well.
IRIS Explorer - A visual programming system for visualizing, manipulating and analyzing data, and for developing scientific and engineering applications quickly and intuitively. Explorer provides “modules”, self-containing operations for data input, data reduction, rendering and more. It supports 64-bit Linux systems and uses a visual “drag & drop” interface. Available for Unix, Linux and Windows platforms.

sam@osc.edu, (614) 292-2478). Sam can provide
you with a license key good for several months for use on your PC or
workstation. This key is also renewable for extended use. If you develop an
application using NAG software which requires greater computing resources, OSC
has the same NAG software available on many of its high performance systems (see
http://oscinfo.osc.edu/software/amd/nag.shtml).
