Safe Harbor Principles
In July 2000, the U.S. Department of Commerce, in consultation with the European Commission, developed a "safe harbor" framework. This framework was developed due to the United States taking a different approach to privacy from that taken by the European Union. By certifying on a volunteer basis to the safe harbor principles, NAG assures other organizations throughout the world that we provide adequate privacy protection.
When you enter NAG's site, we may collect your IP address, the browser software and operating system you use as well as the address of the web site from which you linked to our site. The IP address identifies your Internet Service Provider, but does not identify you as an individual. This information allows us to administer our site and diagnose any server problems. Additionally, this information is aggregated to provide broad demographic information, such as the geographic location of visitors, pages and areas of the site visited and how long they stay on our site.
Some features on our web site contain registration and/or request forms that require users to give us contact information and unique identifiers. From time to time we use this information to send you information about our company and to contact you when necessary. Information obtained through online surveys are used for discrete product development purposes and may also be used for future marketing projects to determine which products may be useful to you and your organization.
Your personal information will not be disclosed to a third party or used for a purpose that is incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized.
Individuals may inquire about and correct, amend, or delete their personal information NAG has collected through the web site. Any person registered through the NAG web site may opt-out at any time by contacting us at the email address, telephone number or address listed above.
NAG strives to protect any information collected from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. All personal information collected is deemed confidential and treated as such on all internal electronic and manual systems.
NAG conforms to the safe harbor principles through self-assessment. We periodically conduct objective reviews to insure compliance. We make every effort to ensure site user's privacy and wish to hear from you if at any time you feel we are not in compliance with any portion of the safe harbor principles. In the event that we receive a complaint which we are unable to resolve, we will seek the recommendation of an independent, third party service to resolve the complaint. We respect your privacy and welcome your comments.
