your CD drive. If the CD does not autorun, run

where e is the drive letter for your CD drive.

If you have downloaded the Fortran Builder materials from our website,
run the self-extracting executable to start the Fortran Builder

5. Licensing

The use of NAG Fortran Builder on Windows is controlled by the Kusari
Licence Management system.

This document contains the instructions on how to install a
single-machine licence needed to run the software.

6. How to get a licence

6.1 Evaluation ("trial") licences

For evaluation purposes a trial licence may be requested from the NAG
Response Centre. Such a licence consists of a single line like
the following:

NPW3253NA TRIAL 2013/11/12 "EMnxidA3oeoj0F1Yvi5ibxPjB7"

6.2 Finding the Kusari host id

Longer term licence keys must be locked to a specific computer,
i.e. they will enable the software on one computer only. These licence
keys may consist of more than one line and include the word NODE (or FULL)
instead of the word TRIAL above.

Before obtaining a full licence you need to know the Kusari hostid of the
system on which you intend to use the NAG Fortran Builder. Run "Request
or Install Licence Key" from Start Menu/All Programs/NAG/NAG Fortran Builder 5.3
and click "Request New Licence".

7. How to use the licence

7.1 Installing the licence key in the Windows Registry

This is the recommended method of installation for a single-machine

Run "Request or Install Licence Key" from Start Menu/All Programs/NAG/
NAG Fortran Builder 5.3, paste the licence key into the box and click
"Install Licence Key".

7.2 Installing the licence key in a file

This is not necessary if the licence key is installed as in Section
7.1 above.

You can put the licence key into a file accessible from the machine for which
the software is licensed.

Set the environment variable NAG_KUSARI_FILE to the full pathname of
the licence file. Use the Control Panel / System / Advanced /
Environment Variables dialogue to do this. The exact details of this
process depend on the version of Windows installed.

8. Testing the installation

The Fortran Builder installation may be tested by creating a console
project containing the hello world program and building this.

9. Reporting bugs

Please send all bug reports and any other comments on the software to:
or (North America only)
