Mat leads the Software Quality Team, whose responsibility it is to maintain NAG's software repository (the Engine) and to ensure adherence to NAG's quality policy for Library development from the bottom up. His main interest is software engineering on Linux and its supporting tools, be they in Fortran, Python, XML or others.
Following an MMath at Warwick, an MA at UPenn and an MSc at Manchester, Mat joined NAG in October 2005. He has been Senior Technical Consultant since August 2012.
