Ian Hounam, Senior Technical Consultant

Ian is group leader for the Software Engineering Group which has responsibility for compiler, tools, licence management and implementation.

Ian joined NAG in 1986 to work on the Toolpack/1 software tools project. Subsequently he has has been involved with various software tools products including the NAGWare Fortran Tools.

Recently his main interest is the NAG Fortran Compiler, in particular, user support.

Before joining NAG Ian was part of a team at the University of Strathclyde looking at computer simulation of renewable energy projects in the developing world.
