David Sayers, Principal Technical Consultant

As a Principal Technical Consultant at NAG, David’s key responsibility is the continuous development of NAG’s Numerical Libraries including research, programming and implementation issues.

David has worked at NAG for over 30 years and was part of the inception of NAG by developing the ODE (Ordinary Differential Equations) routines as part of Manchester University’s contribution to the initial NAG project whilst at University. David’s special interest areas are in DLL’s VB, VBA and .NET.

David is a member of the NAG Board of Directors and is Secretary to the IMA’s Numerical Analysis Group. He is currently a Simon Fellow at the University of Manchester and serves on the Industrial Liaison Committee at the University of Hertfordshire.

David gained a Ph.D. in Numerical Solution of Elliptic Partial Differential Equations, a MSc in Mathematics and Computing and a first class honours in Mathematics at the University of Manchester.
